This is a BAROMETER. This tool measures air pressures. High pressures mean dry, sunny and cold. Low pressures mean moist, rainy and warm. Low pressures are mostly near the equator, high pressures are far away from the equator. On the news you will hear the talking about how hot or cold, or the precipitation amount for the week. Part of that is air pressure. The other part is temperature, we will learn more about the later.

This is a ANEMOMETER. This tool measures wind speed. The little red cups spin around however fast the wind is blowing. For example, if the red cups were spinning 12 miles per hour(MPH) the wind speed would be 12MPH.

This is a rain gauge. This tool measures the amount of precipitation(rain, snow, sleet and hail). The bigger numbers measure in inches(in), while the smaller ones are centimeters(cm).

This is a wind vane. This tool measures wind direction. In the picture the wind direction is pointing east. The arrow is pointing to the letter that represents east so the wind speed is east.

This is a thermometer. This tool measures temperature. Wherever the red line ends, that is your temperature. Tempature decides how hot or cold it will be out side. C means Celsius and F means Fahrenheit. Click here to see how to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius.
